Oil Change

Oil has a limited life span and over time, the internal fast-moving parts of the engine breakdown the oil and potentially decrease the ability to absorb heat and lubricate the engine. That's why it is crucial to keep your vehicle running on good oil! Continuing the use of your vehicle with the same broken-down oil has a good chance of overheating or seizing all together.

Tune Up

As important as oil is to your vehicle, it is important to perform preventative maintenances to ensure to keep your car running strong.

What does a tune-up consist of? To break this down into 4 sections:

1.) Ignition parts: The ignition system is made up of spark plugs, spark plug wires, coils, and other electrical components that ignite the air/fuel mixture in your combustion chamber.

2.) Filtering: There are multiple filters in your vehicle; oil, fuel, air, cabin air filters… it is important to replace these to improve the performance of your engine and be efficient. You want to avoid having dirty filters, it’ll make your vehicle work harder to get the air, fuel, and oil that it needs.

3.) Auxiliary Systems: New belts such as belt tensioners, serpentine belts, timing belt, and radiator hoses. Some belts connect to pulleys that transfer the rotating force of your car's crankshaft pulley to the power steering pump, water pump, alternator, and other systems. Hoses, on the other hand, transfer fluids that are vital for the engine.

4.) Fluids: This is vital for the health of your engine! It could help you save money in the long run just by servicing these fluids before the expensive damages occur. The good thing is that in your owner's manual, there are recommended regular change intervals for each type of fluid and as such when they need to be replaced. Prevent having contaminated fluids in your car as it can lead to excessive wear on internal components and decrease the life of your car's engine. These fluids consist of the engine's oil, coolant, brake fluid, transmission fluid, and power steering fluid.

Brakes

Changing your brakes is very important. If you feel your car vibrate when you apply the brakes, your rotors may be warped and that's a good sign to get them replaced with new ones. Bringing your car right away may be as simple as just needing new brake pads and rotors. If you wait, the damage can become a bigger and more expensive repair!

Tire Mount/Balance

It is important to pay attention to all of your tire tread grooves for any wear below (4/32 of an inch) George Washingtons' head on a quarter. A good rule of thumb is to make sure your tire's tread covers George Washingtons' head. If you see the head, that means your tread is low and that's a sign of you needing new tires.

Tire balancing provides you a smooth ride and assures that your tires wear evenly and properly by adjusting their weight distribution around your car.
